We call it a frozen dessert instead of ice cream because food labelling rules require certain levels of fat and solids. GYM BOD is made to be low calorie and low sugar, which naturally means less fat. This is how we create a healthier version of ice cream (Better Option Dessert) that is still just as creamy and indulgent.

GYM BOD is very creamy. We’ve spent years perfecting our recipe so it scoops and tastes just like traditional ice cream. The balance of fresh cream, milk protein concentrate, and natural sweeteners gives you a smooth, indulgent texture without an icy bite.

We use a blend of natural sweeteners that occur naturally in plants, fruits and vegetables. On average, they are around 100 to 200 times sweeter than sugar which means we only need a tiny amount to deliver the same delicious taste without the sugar content. The result is all the indulgence with only a fraction of the sugar.

The small amount of sugar you see on the label comes naturally from the milk and cream we use.

After five years of tweaking, we’ve worked hard to create an alternative to full sugar ice cream that doesn’t sacrifice flavour or texture.

Our natural sweeteners have fewer calories than sugar, and because they’re sweeter, we only need a small amount to create the same delicious taste. That’s how we keep the sugar low and the indulgence high.

We also balance fresh cream with milk protein concentrate to deliver the same rich, creamy texture while keeping the calories lighter. The result is a dessert that feels every bit as indulgent without the extra sugar and calories.

Water is used as the base to blend our milk protein concentrate, cream and natural sweeteners into a smooth mix. It helps bring everything together, giving you the same creamy texture as traditional ice cream but with much less sugar and fewer calories.

Our Frozen Dessert tubs are all made in our own Female-Led Ice Cream facility in Brisbane, Australia.

This gives us full control over the product development & production process and gives us confidence in the product that lands on the shelves.

Our product is made with Halal suitable ingredients and contains natural sweeteners and plant based stabilisers. There are no animal derived gelatines or alcohol in our recipe. While we follow Halal friendly practices in production, we do not currently hold Halal certification.

GYM BOD is lower in sugar and uses natural sweeteners instead of regular sugar, which makes it a better fit for people following a low carb or keto lifestyle.

Please be aware it still contains milk and cream, it isn’t strictly zero carb. If you’re following a strict keto diet, we recommend checking the nutrition panel to make sure it fits within your daily carb allowance.

Our Cookies & Cream contains Gluten and is not Gluten Free. This is due to the cookies we use in the product.
